    …thank you for the replies…

…you’ve said that history is a favourite topic…if you could go back in a Time Machine to live in any other time in the past….when would it be…?….

…also…if you could invite any four historical figures to have a pizza evening with you and your girlfriend….which fabulous Four would you choose…?….

…it’s heartbreaking, most of us will never come close to imagining that sort of devastation and loss of life….

    …a good and wise decision, I reckon…happy posting, Al….

…I do for some movies…we have a small movie theatre near us with sofas and serving food etc and a bottle of wine can be taken in for a chilled movie evening…it’s a great vibe….

I disagree. If the parent has full time with the kid, he/she has full insight on what the child is experiencing and who is influencing him/her. I had many different bad influences in school but due to my mother's dedication to take care of her two sons, she didn't allow bad influence determine my faith in life. If parents are not there for their kids, somebody else will be. It is well known how in nazi germany, they used to indoctrinate kids since young age, wash their brains.

…brainwashing children…?…you're referring to an extreme behaviour that has no bearing whatsoever on whether a mother…(…and the thread title specifically states mother and not parent - it’s exclusive to one family role as being the only factor of apparent bad behaviour possibilities of a child…)…can have a career, while remaining a dedicated mother of children who are very healthily balanced in their parental guidance…I’m sure that you have an amazing mother and I’m very glad that you did but parenting and family situations and dynamics are not and never have been ‘one size fits all’….I’ve worked in a school for many, many years….for most of my working life and known many, many different family situations…most parents balancing their life roles beautifully, whatever those roles are of securing an income as well as raising their families and providing a loving and stable home, while their children experience a healthy wrap around care ….

…if someone is only looking on and looking for a ‘beauty surface’ then surely, that’s their choice to not see the whole person that they’re looking at and so they would miss some aspects…their choice to do so, though…to not get to know a whole person…

Yes. But, why they complain when men look them for their looks rather than who they are inside? What you offer and show is how you are valued. Simple.

…I haven’t personally known any woman who has chosen to wear clothing that covers aspects of their ‘beauty’…to then complain that they are being primarily judged on that beauty that they’ve chosen to cover…I would have to see the conte t of that to be able to comment…
