I'm going to go record the video once I'm done posting on forums. :) I'm still thinking about which forum platform I'm going to film first, but I am going to cover the free forum hosts first then move on to free self hosted forums. Then probably make my way to a paid platform, you're right all forum software have different quirks and I think covering a good number of them could encourage the younger crowd to go out and give forums a whirl!

Sounds like a good idea to me. Even something as simple as figuring out how to upload or set an avatar can be a pain across different forum software. Every platform has its own sizing rules, file limits, and quirks, and newer users have no clue what any of that means. Having a basic tutorial that walks people through things like avatars, signatures, posting, and navigation would actually help lower the barrier for anyone who’s only used social media or Discord.
