Last year the Admins over on Forum Promotion came together to create a new holiday where forum owners and users could come together to celebrate the threads that bind us. That day is called "Global Forum Day" and it's today, April 7th!

Forums are special websites that once ruled the internet. When you wanted to discuss your favorite shows, games or anything else really you'd hop on the computer, type up the url of a site, and bam wait for your favorite forum to load. You'd start looking for new topics to post in or start sharing your own thoughts by creating your own threads. Though as time went on, social media took the spot of forums. However, though they might not be as popular as they once were, forums are still around and are still important to the internet. The amazing administrators over on Forum Promotion wanted to create a new Holiday where forum enthusiasts could come together to celebrate forums, and thus Global Forum Day was founded! They took a poll over on the forums to determine when the best day would be to come together to celebrate forums, and April 7th was selected! Today we celebrate Global Forum Day, where we appreciate all the forums still online and forums that have yet to exist! We still love forums here at Thee Zone and will continue to stay online for those wanting to come together to share their projects, recipes or anything else they love! Happy Global Forum day to everyone!

I really hope that Global Forum Day can spread every year so that forums remain in the spotlight! Let's get people off of social media and back onto forums.
