Just as things seem to be getting better in Iran, with the morality police fearful of a large protest such as over Mahsa Amini a year or so ago, and women now blatantly disobeying rules by not wearing hijabs out in public, stricter laws are to come in soom.

However, men are now supportive of women; it appears at a glance that the culture is evolving for the betterment of Iran. It feels like the situation where Rosa Park refused to give up her seat for a white person - let’s hope that things will similarly get better after inevitably getting worse ! Well, as I suspected, things just got worse.

MPs back a draft law that seeks harsh punishments against those who are "inappropriately" dressed.

However, the punishment has now been increased as follows;

Of course, being the dictatorship they are, they also have to crack down on dissent.

Any person who promotes violating the dress code "in an organised manner" or "in co-operation with foreign or hostile governments, media, groups or organisations" could also be imprisoned for between five and 10 years, it says.

I’m of the opinion that we should respect how the person wishes to be treated. Sure gender dysphoria is a medical condition but we should respect their hardships and struggles and at least try to adapt to their preferred pronouns as opposed to being dismissive.

Also just to clarify, transphobia is classed as hate speech and not something tolerated here. This is not open to debate. Thank you for your understanding.

I also disagree that women being forced to wear hijabs is a minor thing. If they don’t fight they’d be seen as weak and the curtailing of women’s rights would escalate and that is unacceptable.

It’s not specifically an issue of hijabs, it’s the principle of respecting the rights of others to follow whatever religion they wish to follow.

Transphobia is a funny term because it is used as a censorship tool for those who use logic. Phobia in its core means fear, and nobody is afraid of transgenders. We are annoyed by their annoying force to call them as they desire as if they are right. Imagine in science somebody demands to accept something as truth and we all know that's not true.

When people have schizophrenia and they say they see somebody in the room, we don't say: "You are right, there is somebody there" but actually help them. There is no help when you indulge somebody in self delusion.

Of course it is not open for discussion, that's why it is sad, smart people are being silenced by delusional minority via help of LGBTQ+ giant.
