If they're rated poorly, then the reviewers suck. The sonic movies are the best video game movies of all time. 
Most fans enjoyed the films and I heard nothing but positive things about them. Sonic Prime is a show on Netflix. The last few episodes premiered last month, but we're still waiting on the next set of episodes to be announced.

I'm not sure if it's been renewed for some more episodes. It's currently streaming on Netflix, but there hasn't been any news on newer episodes being released at a later date. I'm all caught up now, it's a pretty decent show.
I definitely prefer the movies to Prime at least. As for other sonic shows, I really do enjoy the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. It's more goofy than serious though, many people like Sonic SatAM. (It's just called Sonic the Hedgehog but aired on Saturday mornings so we dub it as Sonic SatAM.)
Definitely Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. I loved this cartoon since I was a kid, it is goofy though and not serious unlike SatAM or Sonic X.
