I love using dark forum themes. It's why I love this forum upon my joining the community.
Light theme is good too but they are too bright for my eyes. If I have the feature to switch to dark themes in any forum, it's what I'm using.

Dark themes are my favorite as well, which is one of the reasons why I installed a dark theme here first. I do like light themes as well, on my new monitor dark themes look okay but light themes look better. Whereas on my laptop, dark themes look much better.
While I prefer the Light Theme & opt for that on forums, I think it’s best to have both available. Dark Themes hurt my eyes yet there are those who like it better. Maybe it looks different on different screens?
I like both. I wanted a dark one for my drumming site, but people kept saying the default should be light for education themes. Anyway, I like the light theme I designed, though.
Light, normally... I find that the text stands out better that way.
Team Dark all the way haha. It's just better for my eyes in most cases.
I like dark themes. Not because light themes hurt my eyes but dark themes are just more aesthetically pleasing.
Lately i prefer more the dark themes mostly for my eyes .
I like dark themes at night, as I usually put my phone on night mode, so I enjoy browsing forums with a dark theme as well.
However, I prefer having the option to choose between both a light and dark theme.
I much prefer dark themes and always like to see a dark theme offered on any sites I visit. I find that dark themes are easier on my eyes especially since I suffer from migraines frequently.
It really depends on the site or app and the choices they have for light and dark themes.
Sometimes I'll use the light theme, and sometimes the dark.
However, I'll switch back and forth depending on the site and how long I'm on it.
I prefer dark themes. Easier on the eyes. Light themes make me think of work. Dark themes make me think recreational.

Don’t they both have the same benefits? I don’t think dark and light mode matters too much for your eyes as long as the brightness isn’t too high.
Blinding lights can hurt your eyes, but a mellow setting is perfectly fine.

It's funny, I use dark themes whenever possible so even my email at work is set to the dark theme so I don't really think of work when I see a light theme. Speaking of dark themes I need to find a better dark theme again. Unfortunately the one I was using was for an older version of Woltlab Suite and I don't think the author made an updated version.
I love light themes usually. Not sure why but may be I got too used to them and most of the websites I use, have light themes as their default themes.
However, lately I have been using dark themes. May be I have been using my phone at night....a lot -_-" I know ...but just can't help it, I suppose.
