Recent both Steam and Itch.io were forced to remove any mature games from their platform thanks to pressure from payment partners. GOG has yet to do so and in fact has listed mature games for sale on their platform due to this recent news. This is really going to hurt a bunch of indie developers since lots of them have made mature games. I think it's absolutely stupid that these platforms were forced to make this change, yet people are still able to purchase mature content for other media. A group known as "Collective Shout" was behind this btw. They pressured Paypal and thus Paypal pressured Steam and Itch.io to remove over 500 games. Collective Shout is a "feminist movement". I'll have to make a separate topic about them, they're a terrible movement and is led by a TERF.
