Which forum software should I use for a upcoming project of mine?

I got an idea for a new community I'm wanting to launch soon. I already have MyBB installed and a few threads made, but honestly I feel it's a bit too outdated. So I'm thinking about using a different software, however I just don't know which one I want to use! I have it narrowed down to either Xenforo, UBBThreads or maybe even vBulletin since they added a gallery to their suite and it's cheaper than Xenforo and comes with more out of the box. I don't want to go with NodeBB because I would need to get another VPS set up, likewise with Discourse I would need to do the same. I don't want to use Reddit but it might be worth making a subreddit for this topic. It's somewhat gaming related but also tech related. I would integrate it with Thee Zone, but I feel this forum is already oversaturated with content and bringing in more would be a bit much.

I think this was Glitch Forums I was talking about in this thread. I went with vBulletin, but I know the license will need to be renewed next month. I'm not really sure why I created GF and haven't really done much with it.

If you want to go with the free option, I would recommend Jcink, Forumotion or Proboards. Zetaboards is out since they were bought out by Tapatalk.

Jcink is my favorite free host. My first forum was on Forumotion it was a Pokemon related one lol. I miss Zetaboards, Forum Spark is the closest thing to it and it's one of my favorite hosts but it's no longer free, which is fine though it's good service. I've been having issues with Proboards lately, if I don't disable my adblocker.
