How serious is gaming addiction?

When a man is addicted to gaming, almost all aspects of his life suffers. Talk about work, relationships, decision making among others. Have you ever found yourself in such situation? All you think about is to play, and when you start you don’t know when to stop.

Gaming addiction is pretty serious, and since they find it hard to stop themselves they need help from others.

I actually knew a woman who was addicted to the game League of Legends, she isn't anymore thankfully. For a while she wouldn't do anything but play the game most of the day, she didn't have a job, and would only stop playing to eat and go to the bathroom. It got to the point where her mother kicked her out of the house, and she had to go live with one of her ex boyfriends. She's got a job now and still plays the game just not as much.

I think that, like anything else, it can vary in severity. For some people, it might not affect things very much at all. For others, it might be significantly detrimental to their health and other aspects of their lives.

When Hogwarts Legacy came out, I made sure to only play it on my days off because I didn't want to get so wrapped up in it that I'd loose track of time and not go to work. If I was going to have trouble, then I would have given the game to my hubby and had him hold it for me until my days off so that it couldn't interfere with me going to my job or anything like that.
