Using Netflix and Amazon Prime have completely ruined going to the cinema generally to me.
COVID made it worst because it cut off my frequent cinema time and I got so used streaming services.
All through 2022, I wasn't in the cinema more than twice.

I don't go too often, it can be quite expensive between the tickets and getting refreshments. The last movie I seen in theaters was Smile and it was worth it. It was super eerie!
Movie theaters around here have shut down. With the advent of streaming services, cinemas took a nosedive. Not to mention kiosks that make it easy to shop at a grocery store & get a DVD for one-stop shopping. I liked the experience, that can't be beat. It's a good social time. However, I also like being able to Pause, Rewind what I'm watching as well as being more comfortable on my couch. I think if they did try to stick around, they'd have to reinvent themselves to cater today's society.
The last movie I watched in the cinema was Way of the Water. I went to watch this movie after a long time, perhaps after more than a year. I like going to movies but I don't go very frequently because it is very expensive. It is cheaper to stream movies at home.
Occasionally - although, last time I went was for Jurassic World: Dominion, which was over a year ago now!
…I do for some movies…we have a small movie theatre near us with sofas and serving food etc and a bottle of wine can be taken in for a chilled movie evening…it’s a great vibe….
I used to go to cinema when I was living in Belgrade. It was an amazing place.
Not as much as I use to, but every so often there is a movie release that gets me to go. Top Gun 2 is the last movie I saw in theaters. With that said the local theater here also plays UFC PPVs and I do like going to those sometimes.
Yes, I have been going to the cinemas this year much more often than I ever have in my life. A huge part of this is because I started going by myself. I have been quite enjoying it too. The most recent film I went to was The Nun 2. Streaming definitely is more convenient and I totally watch more movies through streaming services than I do at the cinemas. But in general I am watching way more movies now.
Honestly the last film I've seen in theaters still was Smile. To be fair I was going to see Howl's Moving Castle this Saturday at a local cinema, but unfortunately the cinema shut down permanently. :V It isn't the usual cinema my spouse and I go to, it used to be the one we'd go to all the time but them a better one opened up in a few cities next to ours and we go to that one now. We do plan on seeing Saw X when it comes out next week!

That is a shame, Howl's Moving Castle would have been amazing to see at the cinemas. I rewatched it at the start of the year because of my Japanese Cinemas class and loved it as much as when I first saw it. Seeing Saw in the cinemas though, hahaha gory horror films are possibly the only subgenre of horror I am not keen on. I can imagine though as a fan of it, seeing them at the cinemas would enhance the experience a lot.
I still go to the cinema when a movie I want to watch comes out. Using a streaming platform is cool but going to the cinema and watching it on the big screen is a whole different experience that I still love.
I still go to the movie theater when I really want to see a movie on a big screen. The last movie that I watched at the movie theater was the last Scream movie.
My wife and I went to the cinema last weekend with her parents. We seen Trap, and it was a decent movie. It's not exactly what we were expecting but still worth a watch if you like m night shyamalan's films.
I haven't been to the cinema in such a long time. I remember the last time I went to the cinema very well and that was when Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was released, I remember going with my two brothers, my mum and my grandma to see it, before that, I believe it was Austin Powers - Goldmember.
